Affording College | Cómo lograr pagar la universidad

One of the hardest parts of sending a student off to college is putting together a realistic plan to cover the costs. In this workshop, CAP will review key financial aid terms that families should know, important steps in the financial aid process, the types of financial aid available, and how your student's college list can position them to have at least one affordable option in the spring.

The workshop is designed for all parents and guardians of college-aspiring PUSD students, including two- and four-year applicants. It will be offered once in English (October 19) and once in Spanish (October 14).

This event is FREE and open to all PUSD high school students and their families. The workshop will be hosted in Zoom and the link will be emailed to participants in advance. Registration closes at 11:00 PM on Monday, October 18.

EN ESPAÑOL: JUEVES, 14 DE OCTUBRE

Una de las partes más difíciles de enviar a un estudiante a la universidad es elaborar un plan realista para cubrir los costos. En este taller, CAP presentará información sobre los términos clave de ayuda financiera, los pasos importantes en el proceso, los tipos de ayuda financiera disponibles y cómo la lista de universidades de su estudiante puede posicionarlos para tener al menos una opción dentro de su alcance económico en la primavera.

El taller está diseñado para todos los padres y tutores de estudiantes del PUSD que aspiran ir a la universidad, incluyendo los estudiantes interesados en universidades de dos y cuatro años. Se ofrecerá en español (14 de octubre) y en inglés (19 de octubre).

Este evento es GRATUITO y está abierto a todos los estudiantes de secundaria del PUSD y sus familias. El taller se realizará en Zoom y el enlace se enviará por correo electrónico a los participantes con anticipación. Registraciones cierran a las 11:00 PM del miércoles, 13 de octubre.
